MEET JOHN CLARKE, MA, EdS, LPCC.

As a trauma therapist, I create a custom, integrative therapy for you using a blend of evidence-based therapies including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). These therapies will help you finally heal from trauma once and for all, so that you can get back to living life on your own terms.

As a solution-focused therapist, I help you find clarity on your values and vision for your life (and/or business), overcome mental blocks and upper limit challenges, make difficult life decisions, and equip you with practical tools to feel more calm and confident.

I have experience in a wide range of clinical settings, including hospitals, outpatient programs, non-profit agencies, and residential treatment. I am the current owner and Clinical Director of Calm Again Counseling, and am also a member of the IFS teaching staff at IFSCA.

My style is collaborative, direct, and engaging.

Born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, I now live in San Francisco in the Sunset with my wife (a certified executive coach in San Francisco) and daughter and am also a professional actor, a drummer, and a surfer. I look forward to connecting with you.
